This mixtape by Minsk-based DJ and selector Blagodao is built entirely from Soviet Melodiya records, mixed live on vinyl. Folk ensembles from across the former USSR collide with psychotherapeutic LPs, educational dialogues, guided relaxation exercises, and other strange spoken-word artifacts salvaged from the archive.

Rather than treating these records as nostalgia objects, Blagodao lets tape hiss, bureaucratic voices, rural ritual, and magnetic decay bleed into one another in real time. The result is a hypnotic drift through the haunted afterlife of the Melodiya catalogue.
