A tribute to Minang singer Melati from West Sumatra focusing on her early recordings with the musician Asben. Together, they pioneered an innovative genre of Minangkabau pop music based called kalason, which incorporated the horn melodies heard in the streets from passing autobuses using synthesizers.
I am always amazed how you manage to find such lesser known music. Wow😮
