LES CARTES POSTALES SONORES

A lush collection of aural postcards from Indonesia to East Africa from punk ethnomusicologist Julien Hairon (a.k.a Judgitzu) – Bunong lullabies, Javanese horse trance music, the streets of Zanzibar, folks song of the Hadzabe bushmen of Tanzania, Ugandan “embaire” xylophones, and more. Most of the sounds and music here are culled from his field recording project Les Cartes Postales Sonores. He also runs the cassette reissue label PetPets'TAPES and a recently released an album with Nyege Nyege Tapes.
